Over 500 timber piles restored while dock remains in service

PileMedic® repairs and strengthens timber piles near catastrophic failure at the largest agricultural port in the U.S. Some of the piles had 100% section loss! Concrete dock remained in service while repairs of 550 piles were completed.

Driven concrete piles with limited space are repaired at Port of Seattle

The Port of Seattle specified PileMedic® to design and retrofit octagonal prestressed concrete piles. Both axial and flexural capacities of the piles were enhanced with limited service interruption to the busy T-18 terminal.

Some 200 cell phone towers have been strengthened throughout the U.S. using the patented PileMedic® system to accomodate heavier equipment. Flexural capacity of these monopole structures has been enhanced by more than 250% in many cases.

PileMedic® repairs timber truss bridge, St Louis, MO

The river environment and the dry-wet cycles had resulted in damage to the piles of a truss bridge at the Valvoline river dock. A total of 18 timber piles on this project were encapsulated from a height of 5’ below grade to the pile cap in PileMedic®. Low viscosity resin was injected into the annular space between the pile and the jacket to fill all the voids in the timber pile and make up for the loss in compressive strength.

Corrosion-damaged steel columns, Tucson, AZ

Replacement of severely corroded steel columns in this electrical substation was impossible without temporary shutdown of the substation. PileMedic® was used to restore the strength of 31 columns in 5 working days without disrupting the electrical grid.
